Cover: Designs (copied by the author) on the back of the book, above and below the Title, are from an etching by M. Braquemond. Design (copied by the author) on the front is part from Turner's plate called "The Little "Devil's Bridge". Woodcut on the title page is a copy, by Mr. Cooper, of one of Rembrandt's best portraits.
