February 1, 1862 to March 31, 1862 [50 papers]
April 1, 1862 to May 31, 1862 [51 papers]
June 2, 1862 to August 9, 1862 [59 papers]
August 12, 1862 to October 18, 1862 [57 papers]
October 20, 1862 to January 19, 1863 [78 papers]
There are a total of 408 papers. No Sunday papers. A Monday, August 11, 1862, issue and Friday, December 26, 1863, issue are missing. The June 2 and August 12, 1862, issues have some paper loss.
Founded on June 1, 1829, The Philadelphia Inquirer is the third oldest surviving daily newspaper in the United States.
